Biriyani is one of the best among our foodies. And the Biriyani has to be really special to satisfy our taste buds. We can find Biriyani almost anywhere in the city but finding those special ones are really tricky. Here we suggest you some of the finest Biriyani makers of our city.

Kayees Biriyani


Location: Rahmathulla Hotel, Mattancherry, Kochi.
Cost: Rs. 300 for two people (approx.)

Kayees Biriyani is an ordinary place with some extra ordinary Biriyani. This place is the best if you love Biriyani, especially Mutton Biriyani. The place is thronged with foodies almost at anytime of the day. Steamingly hot n spicy Biriyani with sweet date palm pickle is one of the major attractions of this little space. About the service and ambiance- you'll find it just perfect to devour the Biriyani.

As 'Paragon' is for Calicut and 'Sapphire' is for Thrissur, it is Kayees for our Kochi. The place is almost crowded all the time, so keep yourself ready for some waiting.

Manjali Biriyani
Location: Manjali, North Paravur, Ernakulam.
Cost: Rs. 200 for two people (approx)

Manjali Biriyani is definitely special and different from every other Biriyani. The special Dum Biriyani has to be tasted at least once in your lifetime, or else you will be missing the King of the Biriyanis. Manjali Biriyani is popular and you can find at least a dozen Biriyani shops in this part of the city. The Biriyani can fill your bellies as the quantity is appreciable and the cost is nominal. 

  
Ifthar

Location: Edapally, Kochi
Cost: Rs. 250 for two people (approx)

Iftar is a different place for some serious Biriyani fun. This place serves all sorts of Biriyanis that are sometimes rare to find - Prawn Biriyani, Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani, Qabsa, Mandhi, Vegetable Biriyani, etc. The list of the Biriyanis available here goes on. Situated in the heart of the city, Iftar is easily accessible, a treat to the taste buds and friendly to your pockets. Another bonus is that they serve Biriyanis in banana leaves and the aroma that comes out from it is just awesome. \


Pandari's Biriyani
Location: C.P Ummar road, Near Pullepady Bridge towards South

This is a place where you get to munch on ethnic Mattanchery Biriyani in it's true taste. The exterior appearance might make you curse Kochiness for misleading you. But trust us, what you get once you hop into the place is really worth it. The trouble in reaching the place is definitely a hit back but even then the place deserves to be visited. You'd really get to stuff your bellies.
