Google, the internet giant, has decided to shut down one of its the then popular social networking site Orkut by September, 2014. Orkut as Google claims is one of the earliest social networking sites that was established at a time social networking was something new to us.

While Google says the shutdown is due to the hindered and out-spaced growth of Orkut due to the immense popularity of Google's other services like blogger, google+, etc we know the fact of collapse. They also claim that they are bidding farewell to Orkut to spend more time and effort on the other popular services.

But the sad fact is that the Orkut is being shutdown due to its loss in popularity and the falling user rate. Growth of Facebook, has affected Orkut like any other social networking sites that existed until then. As Facebook gained popularity, Orkut and other such social networking giants started falling apart. In the last few years Orkut has failed in bringing up innovative ideas to challenge the social networking giant, Facebook. They lacked innovation and passion that would have sustained Orkut. There was nothing new being introduced to the users. Almost all the options provided were age old boring parts of Orkut. They never tried to have a comeback at-least with a new interface. However, the story comes to an end. And we will definitely be able to say that we are a generation that saw the transition from Orkut to Facebook. Yes we will be saying that we HAD an orkut account. Maybe, it would be one of the most beautiful internet memory for many.

If you are thinking about your data and memories that are stored in Orkut, don't panic, Google never lets their users down. People can export their profile data, community posts and photos using Google Takeout (available until September 2016). You can no more create a new Orkut account. The existing communities will be preserved in an archive by Google which would be accessible by the public. Which means memories would stay, Orkut is leaving.

I remember those days when I was a frequent Orkut user. It was my first social networking experience. Google taught us what is social networking. Like always Google has molded our internet culture to a great extend. Sending those scraps and receiving them were always a matter of happiness. Uploading my first profile picture was done in Orkut. My first email address was created to join Orkut. That would be when I was in 5th or 6th grade, i guess. I remember using proxies to access Orkut which was blocked in the UAE. Orkut definitely has given me a lot of good memories. Thank you Google, you are always our hero on the internet.

There would be hardly few frequent Orkutians existing. Google apologizes them on the decision.

We don't fight with each other, we love each other. Every Indian loves their pakistani friends. Then why fight? If it is for your personally benefits please understand, we the youth can understand stuff !

While you steal crores and crores of our nation's wealth please don't think that we aren't watching or we are unaware. We do pity on you. A poor man on the street has a better dignity.  We don't bother to waste our time trying to correct a shameless robber. We the youth feels ashamed of you. Even if you don't come face to face with us, please know that your country silently pity on you. It is our wealth that you loot. One day we will throw you all out, wait and loot until then.

While you take policies that is unfavorable to the common man or the poor, please understand that the common man makes the majority and the majority decides who should rule. Corporates cannot get you a government, they can just buy you stuff that has a price tag on it, never an Indian's proud vote. We do read news papers, we do feel the heart beat of our country. The poor are one amongst us, give them their share. We the Indians don't expect our fellow citizens to sleep with an empty stomach.

While you rape our sisters, don't feel like a hero. You are just being a piece of useless animal. Heroes are the police officers who fight against crimes, the soldiers that protect our borders and the common man who protects their sisters dignity. While you drag and twist the criminal charges against you, please understand the greatest shame is facing your family and your country with a raper's tag. No matter how much you can pay a lawyer, you cant buy our judiciary. Even if you can influence the judiciary, you cant fight thousands of real men of our country. Our nation is rich in culture but please don't destroy it. Because one day we would react.

Spend crores for your royal life from the tax payer's money but we always pity you for living with our money. We sponsor you. We feed you. We clothe you. We house you. And yet you loot us. Who is the real looser? Ask yourself. Not all are corrupt, but we are pointing our fingers to the corrupt.

Our colleges and universities are houses of innovative ideas and ideologies. We have a plan in our hearts. We review every single policy, incident and issues of our country. We are not living in another planet without knowing what happens in our country. But we are just being unheard. There would be a day we finally react, the day corruption would be over thrown, the day the educated would be our leaders. Wait for that day, it isn't too far.

1. Protect yourself from fungal actions. 
Fungal infections are one of the most common skin irritations seen during the monsoon season. This is due to the skin's prolonged exposure to wetness. Never keep your skin wet for a long period. Always have a wipe handy. Make sure you wipe off the wetness from your skin at regular intervals. Bathing with lukewarm water and using anti fungal creams, soaps and talc will prove to be effective in combating fungal invasion. One of the most commonly seen fungal infection is the ringworm.
5. Avoid artificial jewellery. 

The youth of the Paliyekkara toll area has protested in such a way that the authorities didn't expect. Protests were strong since the Paliyekkara toll plaza was established and started levying heavy tolls from the motorists in the Thrissur-Ernakulam highway.


But what happened next is exciting. Till date there wasn't any other parallel routes existing to bypass the toll. But the youth of the area has cleared an unused piece of road. A road parallel to the 'Manali Puzha' which was unusable was cleaned up by the youth of the Madavakara Club.

Vehicles moving from Amballur to Thrissur can enter this Manali Madavakara road by taking a left after the Manali bridge. Travelling around 2 kms through this road you can cover the Paliyekkara Toll plaza via Chittishery and continue the journey. Soon there will be sign boards erected to guide you through the new parallel road.

Harley Davidson introduces its first ever electric bike, proving that they'd exist even after the fossil fuel exhaust, the project live wire. This is the first powerful and exotic bike company to launch an electric bike. And as every Harley lover would know, the company has compromised nothing for the performance of the bike just because it runs without any fossil fuel.

Harley-Davidson says the belt-driven bike can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under four seconds, and has an electronically restricted top speed of 92 mph which is pretty much amazing if the top speed restriction kept aside. The prototype is powered by a longitudinally-mounted electric motor rated at 74 hp and 52 lb-ft of torque, on par with H-D’s 833 cc internal combustion engine. The electric power system was developed in association with the power train specialist Mission Motors.

As per reports, The current range of the development version of Project LiveWire is 53 miles per charge, but Chief Engineer Jeff Richlen says H-D will be soliciting feedback from current and potential customers to find out the sort of performance they’d expect from this type of motorcycle if it makes it to production.

The recent blow to the keralites is that the E-Commerce portals of the country are withdrawing their services
from the Kerala sector. After stopping cash on delivery order shipments to Kerala, major e-commerce portals stopped shipping items to main cities of Kerala. A decision that has triggered widespread protests and surprise to the online customers. As always online portals offered larger product availability as well as cheaper pricing. E-Commerce had started to become one of the most popular online trends while the withdrawal has hit Kerala. The reason behind the move was allegedly some tussle with the sales tax department. Kerala being a state always against modernization, this step has triggered anger amongst the keralites.

Online sellers received messages from major e-commerce portals to stop processing orders from Kerala.One such message is as follows:

 “Dear Sir/Mam,  Please refrain from shipping any orders to Kerala, we have got notifications from almost all partner logistics companies that the Kerala State Sales Tax Department has raised serious concerns over e-commerce shipment coming into Kerala without a State entry form.The logistics companies are in constant dialogue with the authorities to resolve the issue, we shall keep you notified on future development.”

Voices are heard over the retailers in the state being reasonable to this decision of the government. As online portals emerged, the retailers had tough competition as the common man had a price that was unbeatable, offered by the portals. Online portals also had large variety of choices and product availability. Offers were a part of the online lifestyle. Saving the fuel costs was another added advantage to many others.
