Why Dance?

For some , Dance is passion.. while for others it may just remain a form of exercise. Well, here are some reasons why I think dance is cool.

Weight Control : Maintaining a healthy weight has become one of the roughest challenges in today’s world , and here it is – the best solution – To dance. Dance is considered as one of the best yet the most enjoyable form of exercise. . If you do it on a regular basis, it can help you lose weight as much as other forms of exercise would.

Toning of Muscles: Dancing on a regular basis not only helps you maintain or reduce your weight, but it also tones each of your muscles. Especially the muscles of your legs, the hips, your lower back and your abdomen. Some forms of dancing also work the arms and the upper body. As muscle tone improves and flexibility increases, you may experience relief from back pain and an increase in stamina.This also results in a better posture.

Dancing makes you smart: Dancing not only has short-term benefits for your mental well-being, but also long-term benefits. Dancers become very good at learning things quickly and methodically because of how often they learn new dance moves.

Feeling suppressed? Dance allows you to express all those concealed emotions. Dance is like Illusion personified. What cannot be explained in words can sometimes be explained through dancing.

Any Body Can Dance (ABCD  ;D) : Dance is something , that anyone can attempt. All you need is the time , effort and determination . Remember to NEVER give up easily!

  1. Well I agree to Lakshmi, not becuase she is my daughter, but what she tells is the truth. ! As a matter of fact, I wanted to be a classical dancer but my parents did not encourage me as early 70s was not an era where a middle class boy can survive with an earning from dancing on the stage. The situation is changed now and there are plenty of opportunity for all boys and girls to explore and perform their talents and by putting all efforts & energy in it, one can reach any heights these days with maximum dedication & determination, the media has grown so much where one can reach at any heights if he/she desrves it. Especially talents can not be bribed or spoiled by anyone. Thus, one can grow very faster, provide he/she gets the right opportunities. ! I wish if all our educational institues take this subject very seriously and make all children very actievely participating in it, we can easily remove the obesity completely from the universe. It actually makes oneself very healthy both physically & mentally, provided they keep a balanced diets all nutritions as per our body's requuirements & also with maximum dedication and regular practices & excercies. Wish Lakshmi all the best for her efforts in creating a blog here by holding hands with Mohammeed Ebrahim which would be a great idea and it will be very much useful for many children who are very keen in learning dance.
